Farewell to Sutro
What is it?
It is a creative Lightroom preset emulating look & feel of Instagram 1.x’s Sutro filter.
Do you remember the old Sutro one of the best Instagram filters ever? Unfortunately the original Sutro was re-designed in Instagram losing the most of it’s charm in the result. This is why we decided to create this nice preset saving the original Sutro’s character for photographers and enthusiasts.
Is it good?
Sure. It is awesome. See some examples below.
Is it for RAW or for JPEG?
Originally these presets were designed for using with normally exposed jpeg/tiff/psd images. Of course, you can apply it to any of your RAW files but the result will be quite unpredictable due to differences in RAW formats which different camera manufacturers have. So we would recommend converting your RAW into picture format first before enjoying our presets.
The requirements:
You need Adobe Lightroom for PC or MAC to run ‘Instagram for Lightroom’ presets.
You can download free 30 days Lightroom trial from Adobe website.
Compartibility
Adobe Lightroom v.2x,3x,4x for PC or MAC.
How to install
See the main steps below or refer to our step-by-step setup manual (PDF, 692k).
- Launch Lightroom and click on the the Develop module.
- Go to Develop menu (on top of your screen) and choose “New Preset Folder” to create a new folder for the preset. Then type the folder name, for example “Insta 1″.
- Once you have created the new folder, go to Presets panel, right-click the folder you’ve just created and click Import.
- Navigate to where you have saved the unarchived presets files, select them and click Import. All the selected presets will be added to your Lightroom Preset collection.
- Enjoy.
